Hi all,
please excuse me for writing this message in English, but I don't speak German at all and this place seems to be my only chance for me to send feedbacks to Terratec... Maybe I'm wrong.

I've just upgraded my iRadio with the latest bootloader v6834 then the latest firmaware available from terratec's ftp v3.8.36.6908 and I have the following problems:

- I can't switch from one preset to another while the station name or the clock is displayed, so I have to go back to some menu to be able to switch to another preset with the remote control. There's no problem if I press a preset button on the iRadio itself.
- The radio stream stops playing if I navigate through the favourites list (if I scroll the list many times by pressing the "down" button on the remote control without releasing it).

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I think you're wrong.
This forum isn't an official Terratec support forum.

Anyway, if you want to contact the Terratec Support Team, you have to go over here

Ok Grantig, I've found the forum on this website and I thought people from Terratec would come here and read users feedbacks.
Anyway, sorry for bugging you, these bugs won't be solved anytime soon because I won't pay to call Terratec just to report bugs on their firmware.

I could be wrong, but I don't think people from Terratec read the Threads here.
This is just a forum, where users help users.

I'm sorry that I can't help you, but I hope for you, that Terratec releases a fixed firmware soon.

It could not only be wrong, it is wrong :)

todd_terry thx for the feedback, I will check that. With preset you mean one of the network profiles? And does the internet radio stream always stop when you navigate or only in combination with changing profiles?

Hi shaddi,

I call "preset" the radio stations that are stored for a quick access, when you press any button from 0 to 9 on the remote control.

About the "favourites bug", I've reproduced this bug with a 32kbps mono mp3 radio stream and a 128kbps stereo mms radio stream. I will tell you more about that later, I think my favourites list has been corrupted by the Favourites Commandes because it has crashed while I was sending back my favourites to the iRadio.
[Edited] I've flushed my favourites list, then I've added 5 stations, I still have the same problem... Now I can't even add some preset stations to my favourites list, the iRadio says "Favourite removed" when I press the ":)" button on the remote control.

Another bug I've found:
the station informations doesn't handle special characters like "é". If you listen to this radio you'll only see a "G", because it's followed by a "é", but you should see something like "Gérard de Suresnes".
On the previous Firmware I had (v6392), the "é" was only ignored/not shown.

Don't worry Grantig, shaddi is here now, that's all that matters.

Hm these things dont happen on my iRadio with 6908 firmware (except maybe the language thing, did not check that). The only interesting thing that I did not notice before is that when I keep the remote control in the favourites folder pressed with the down arrow, then it just moves to the last entry but not further. But when you hit the down arrow single times it keeps on moving (then back to the first entry etc).

Could you please reset the device and then install the latest bootloader and after that the latest firmware again? You can do the upgrade by using the integrated webserver of the noxon (just enter the IP in your browser), Noxon and PC should be connected in the same way, so both either wireless LAN or cable.

Thank you shaddi!
Now everything works well, excepted the stream information with the "é".
If I attempt to upload a group of favourites with Favourites Commander v1.10, all my problems come back. My .xml file must be corrupted, I think I've saved it with jNoxonFavs...

I have one more question:
why is there only a direct link to the "Local Stations" in the Internet Radio menu, and not in the Podcasts menu?

I guess the name thing can not be changed so easily as it depends on the language coding of the station. Can you live with that wrong spelling? :)

Sorry I can not really answer that question. But I guess this is, because people will rather look for a podcast in a certain language and not really a "local" one. Local radio stations are usually looked for not only because of the language, but even stuff like weather news, traffic information, etc.

May I ask which country you come from... is it France?

You're right, I'm French.

Can you live with that wrong spelling?

Yeah I think I can :) It just thought it wouldn't be that hard to display the ascii string completely since the "é" already exists in the French messages on the iRadio.

Damn french is so unbelievable hard to learn! I think
English is quite cool... I travelled to English countries. It was funny. I know people from there. Bur french?^^
Just a task of exercise! its a piece of cake

VERSION HISTORY:
----------------

Version: FW_3.8.x.6909
+ Bugfix Added check to clean corrupt favourites

:)

Even though I can live without my é's, it would be nice to fix it too because it's quite annoying to see that truncated station info...

I've tried to update my firmware directly through the iRadio menu (Configuration > Firmware Update > Manual Update) but it said my firmware was already up to date... perhaps beta versions can't be downloaded, to avoid "bad surprises" ?

New bug with v6909:

when the iRadio "wakes up" after a long idle state (powered but not turned on) by pressing a preset button, it's impossible to see the clock by pressing the "i" button on the remote control. It seems impossible to get the clock without switching off and on the iRadio with the remote control or the power button in the front pannel.
