UT 2003 Demo bereits dieses Wochenende?

Je näher der Termin für die Veröffentlichung von Unreal Tournament 2003 kommt, desto stärker kocht die Gerüchteküche. Jetzt ist ein Zitat von Mark Rein aufgetaucht, dem zu Folge bereits Ende dieser Woche mit einer spielbaren Demo des Ego-Shooters zu rechnen sei.

Von wann dieses Zitat stammt und ob es wirklich von Mark Rein stammt, bleibt allerdings doch fraglich. Die News stammt wohl von der englischen Seite UT2003.co.uk, wo allerdings in den Kommentaren zur News bereits heftig über den Wahrheitsgehalt der Demo-Veröffentlichung spekuliert wird. Natürlich möchten wir nicht den Grund für alle diese Spekulationen verheimlichen und euch hier das Zitat von Mark Rein veröffentlichen:

Mark Rein: "...The demo is already going to be a pretty large download. The purpose of the demo is to show off gameplay. As it stands now we won't even have enough room to show off all the game types so it definitely would not make sense to include maps that show off only one feature. Once the full game is out people who buy the game will be able to use the Unreal Editor that comes with it to create all kinds of cool situational maps that show off how awesome Karma is and what can be done with it."

Warten wir also das Wochenende ab und sehen dann, ob es eine offizielle Demo gibt oder nicht.
