ForceWare 53.04 für Win 2000/XP offiziell

Man findet den Treiber nicht, wenn man nicht danach sucht: der Personal Cinema Edition. Genau in der Kategorie hat nVidia bereits vor zwei Tagen einen neuen Referenztreiber für alle nVidia Karten released. Dabei ist die Liste der Veränderungen erstaunlich umfangreich.

Der Treiber basiert auf dem Detonator 53.04 und dem WDM-Treiber in der Version 2.20. Die Liste der Fixes ist lang, einiges ist aber auch noch offen. In der Auflistung sieht das wie folgt aus:

• Fixes:
  • GeForce FX 5200/5200 Ultra, Windows XP Media Center Edition: Flashes of corruption occur when rewinding or fast forwarding live TV.
  • GeForce FX 5200/5600, Windows XP Media Center Edition: System crash when changing TV output format on-the-fly while watching video.
  • GeForce FX 5600/5600 Ultra, Windows XP Media Center Edition: Green color on TV playback.
  • Quadro FX 500, Windows XP Media Center Edition: Media center crashes after 30-45 minutes of TV viewing.
  • GeForce FX 5950 Ultra, Windows XP: nView Setup Wizard lacks 16-bit color choice.
  • Quadro NVS, Windows XP: After turning off Span-over-Span, the display properties panel stops responding when selecting the Quadro NVS page.
  • Quadro NVS, Windows XP: Flight.exe OpenGL has stripes of bad rendering on dual Quadro NVS cards.
  • Quadro NVS 280 AGP + Quadro NVS 280 PCI, Windows 2000: Driver does not install with SETUP.EXE.
  • Black horizontal lines on Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2.
  • Quadro NVS, Windows XP: Driver causes blue-screen crash.
  
  
  
• Noch offene Probleme:
  • Clone mode may be set for the GeForce FX 5600 although only one display is connected.
    This setting causes a drop in the performance of 3D applications. The workaround is to use the NVIDIA control panel to reset the system to standard mode from clone mode.
  • GeForce FX 5950 Ultra: Homeworld2 antialiased performance is slow.
    This is not an NVIDIA bug, but is a known issue with the application. NVIDIA is working with the developer to address it.
  • Windows XP: Antialiasing doesn't appear to be working in Final Fantasy XI benchmark.

  • All GeForce FX: Intermittently, Warcraft III videos are not displayed properly on some systems.
    A fix for this issue will be included in a later driver release.

Aufpassen heisst es hingegen jetzt in unserer Download-Sektion, dort sind einige verschiedene 53.04er Treiber zu finden. Der letzte ist der hier genewste 53.04 Personal Cinema, gefolgt von dem vor drei Wochen veröffentlichten 53.04 Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE). Wer bei nVidia nach dem letzten Treiber für Windows 2000/XP sucht, dem wird noch 53.03 ausgegeben, welcher sich ebenfalls im Archiv befindet. Also heisst es ausprobieren.
