Das AIDA32-Projekt wird eingestellt

Das allseits beliebte und auch sehr nützliche Systemtool AIDA32 wird nicht mehr weiter entwickelt. Als Gründe gibt der Entwickler die immensen Entwicklungsarbeiten an einem FreeWare-Produkt und sein dadurch zu kurz kommendes Privatleben an - ein tolles Freewaretool landet somit auf dem „Friedhof“.

AIDA32 hatte sich seit dem Start im Jahr 2001 zum quasi de facto Standard in Sachen System- und Netzwerkanalyse gemausert. Folgenden Text bekommt man auf der AIDA32 Homepage zu Gesicht:

As of March 24, 2004 we have decided to discontinue the development project that we all know as AIDA32. Development of AIDA32 has been started years ago, and the project went first public in April 2001. AIDA32 has become the de facto standard for both home and corporate system diagnosis and network audit, winning several awards including "Freeware Product of the Year" by Support Alert newsletter in December 2002.

Aida32.hu has well served this project almost without any issues, providing access to over half a million of users in 150 countries worldwide. For the exceptional quality of service, we'd like to send our special thanks to Hunet Kft, our internet service provider and software supplier.

Den Sourcecode des Programms will man derzeit aber nicht offen legen, so dass mit der finalen Version 3.93 und der Beta 3.94.2 das Ende der Fahnenstange erreicht ist. Ein paar Fragen von Usern beantwortet der Entwickler im eigenen AIDA32 Forum.
