Dell präsentiert zwei Allround-Notebooks

Mit dem Inspiron 1200 und dem Inspiron 2200 stellt Dell zwei neue Notebooks vor, die in ihrer Mindestausstattung für kleines Geld zu haben sind. Trotz des geringen Preises werden die zwei Notebooks als Allrounder tituliert.

Das Dell Inspiron 1200-Notebook ist, entgegen sonst üblicher Praktiken, nicht frei konfigurierbar. Es bietet für einen Preis von 649 Euro inklusive Mehrwertsteuer einen Intel Celeron M-Prozessor 350 (1,3 GHz, 1 MB L2-Cache, 400 MHz FSB), Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition und 256 MB DDR SDRAM. Hinzu kommen eine 40-GB-Festplatte, ein 15-Zoll-XGA-Display, integrierte Intel Media Accelerator 900-Grafik mit 64 MB Shared Memory, 10/100 LAN, ein 56K-Modem und ein DVD/CD-RW-Combolaufwerk.

Das etwas größere Pendant, Inspiron 2200 genannt, setzt hingegen wieder auf mehr Konfigurierbarkeit und kann wahlweise mit einem Celeron M-Prozessor oder einer Pentium M-CPU bestückt werden. In der Grundausstattung ist es nur 30 Euro teurer als das kleinere Dell Inspiron 1200-Notebook. Die Grundausstattung setzt sich hier wie folgt zusammen: Ein Intel Celeron M-Prozessor 350 (1,3 GHz, 1 MB L2-Cache, 400 MHz FSB), Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition und 256 MB DDR SDRAM. Hinzu kommen eine 30-GB-Festplatte, ein 15-Zoll-XGA-Display, integrierte Intel Media Accelerator 900-Grafik mit 64 MB Shared Memory, 10/100 LAN, ein 56K-Modem und ein DVD/CD-RW-Combolaufwerk.
