Einheit: Prozent, Arithmetisches Mittel

Zwischen Windows 7 und Windows 8 gibt es bezüglich der Spieleperformance bereits jetzt keinen großen Unterschied mehr. Auf der Radeon HD 7970 arbeiten beide Betriebssysteme bereits gleich schnell, auf der GeForce GTX 580 rendert Windows 7 im Durchschnitt noch drei Prozent schneller – was dann wohl mit dem GeForce 302.xx beseitigt werden wird.

Windows 8 kann sich dabei manchmal gar schon von Windows 7 absetzen. So läuft die Radeon HD 7970 in Dirt 3 zum Beispiel sieben Prozent schneller als unter Windows 7, in Metro 2033 sind es sechs Prozent und in Skyrim noch fünf Prozent. In „The Witcher 2“ kann bei eingeschalteter Kantenglättung die GeForce GTX 580 unter Windows 8 um acht Prozent zulegen.
