Mit Patch KB4568831 behebt Microsoft Probleme seines Betriebssystems Windows 10 mit Netzwerkdruckern sowie mit diversen WWAN-Modulen für den mobilen Zugang zum Internet mittels UMTS und LTE über das Wireless Wide Area Network. Zudem fließen zahlreiche weitere Bugfixes in den Patch mit ein und lösen teils bekannte Probleme.
Microsoft beseitigt Druckerprobleme im Netzwerk
Nachdem bereits die kumulativen Updates KB4560960 und KB4561608 vom 9. Juni zu Druckerproblemen unter Windows 10 führen konnten, beklagten Nutzer von Windows 10 zuletzt vermehrt Druckerprobleme im Netzwerk, die Microsoft jetzt mit dem aktuellen Patch KB4568831 behoben haben will. Einige Anwendungen verweigerten zuletzt hartnäckig den Dienst, wenn es darum ging Druckaufträge auszuführen.
Auch der Aufbau eine Mobilfunkverbindung über die WWAN-Modems unterschiedlicher Hersteller war nach der Installation des jüngsten Feature-Updates Windows 10 20H1 vielerorts nicht mehr ohne Weiteres möglich. Auch hier hat Microsoft nachgebessert.
Wie die offiziellen Release Notes des Patches KB4568831 verraten, konnte Microsoft auch Probleme im Umgang mit Word, Excel und 4K-/HDR-Inhalten lösen sowie kleine Fehler in der Windows Defender ATP beheben.

Der Patch KB4568831 wird aktuell von Microsoft global ausgerollt und ist sowohl über Windows Update, die Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) als auch den Microsoft Update Catalog verfügbar.
Durch die Installation des Patches wird Windows 10 auf Build 19041.423 angehoben.

Das kumulative Update, das Windows 10 auf Build 19041.423 anhebt, wird von Microsoft selbst noch unter dem Status „Preview“ geführt, ist aber auch bereits über das Download-Archiv von ComputerBase erhältlich.
Zudem steht auch das aktuelle „stabile“ Update auf Build 19041.388 unterhalb dieser Meldung zum Download bereit.
Das neue Startmenü kann getestet werden
