Nachdem der Hersteller mit dem Intel Graphics Drive v27.20.100.9077 Beta erstmals eine neue Installationsroutine für seinen Grafiktreiber ausgerollt hat, behebt der nun erschienene Intel Graphics Driver v27.20.100.9079 diverse Fehler in zahlreichen Spielen wie Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Test) und der Militärsimulation Arma 3.
Keine Abstürze mehr in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Der seit Ende April dieses Jahres von OEM-Anpassungen unabhängige Treiber erhält mit der Version v27.20.100.9079, die anders als v27.20.100.9077 nicht mehr als Beta gekennzeichnet ist, zahlreiche „Fixes“ für diverse aktuelle und ältere Spiele.
Als besonderes Highlight weisen die Release Notes (PDF) Fehlerkorrekturen für das Open-World-Action-RPG Assassin’s Creed Valhalla von Ubisoft aus, welches jetzt unter Verwendung eines Intel Core-Prozessors der 11. Generation mit einer Intel Iris Xe in DirectX 12 nicht mehr abstürzen soll. Selbiges gilt auch für den Loot-Shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 (Test).
In Arma 3 (Test) sollen Grafikanomalien die mit Core-CPUs der 10. Generation und Intel UHD Graphics auftreten konnten und auch für Fortnite (Benchmark), Angry Birds Space sowie das Programm Corel WinDVD will Intel nachgebessert haben.

BD playback is corrupted by Corel WinDVD on 11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics.
Panel Self Refresh may be disabled while unplugging or plugging AC power during video playback on 11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics.
Alle weiteren Informationen – inklusive aller noch nicht behobenen Fehler – hat Intel in den umfangreichen Versionshinweisen zusammengefasst. Grundvoraussetzung für die Nutzung des neuen Treibers ist mindestens ein Core-Prozessor der 6. Generation alias Skylake.
