Nvidia GeForce Now 2.0.27: Cloud-Gaming-Dienst streamt Spiele über Google Chrome

Mit der neuen Version 2.0.27 streamt der Cloud-Gaming-Dienst GeForce Now (Test) von Nvidia Spiele aus der Bibliothek auch direkt über den Google Chrome. Nachdem der Service bereits Spielen auf iPhone und iPad über den Safari-Browser ermöglichte, erreicht damit jetzt der zweite Browser die Beta-Testphase für jedermann.

GeForce-Cloud-Gaming über Google Chrome

Spieler mit einem entsprechenden Zugang zu GeForce Now können per Google Chrome über die URL https://play.geforcenow.com direkt in den Cloud-Gaming-Dienst einsteigen und ihre Spiele über den Browser streamen.

Laut Nvidia haben Spieler jetzt außerdem die Möglichkeit, ihre Lieblingsspiele über Lesezeichen und Shortcuts direkt zu starten. Spiele, welche sich in der persönlichen Bibliothek des Spielers befinden, können zudem über einen Menüeintrag einfach als Verknüpfung auf dem Desktop abgelegt werden.

Freunde schneller einladen

Mit GeForce Now über Google Chrome gibt es zudem jetzt die Möglichkeit, Spiele-URLs über die Sozialen Netzwerke sowie Messenger mit Freunden zu teilen und diese so zu GeForce Now zu bringen. Unter iOS und iPadOS steht dieses Feature direkt über die „Teilen“-Funktion zur Verfügung.

Um GeForce Now nutzen zu können benötigen Spieler zumindest ein kostenloses Probe-Abo, das allerdings nur 1 Stunde Zugriff am Stück gewährt. Der reguläre Preis für den Gründerzugang ohne eine Zeitbeschränkung beträgt 27,45 Euro für 6 Monate und liefert zusätzlichen Features wie Raytracing sowie einen bevorzugten Zugriff auf die Server. Die monatliche Mitgliedschaft für 5,49 Euro ist zurzeit ausverkauft.

GeForce Now auf Apple Silicon

Mit der neuen Version 2.0.27 läuft GeForce Now als macOS-Client auch erstmals auf Apples ARM-Plattform Apple Silicon und dem M1-Prozessor, wenn auch noch nicht nativ. Die App wird unter macOS 11 Big Sur mittels der x86-64-Binär-Übersetzung Rosetta 2 emuliert.

Zudem nennen die offiziellen Release Notes die obligatorischen Fehlerkorrekturen und Optimierung.

  • Choose any installed app - like iMessage - to share.

• The setting page will no longer freeze after pressing the Snap button when using Ansel.
• Fixed a problem where some games that were available on multiple game stores saw the same store repeated when using search or on the game details.
• GeForce Now will auto update properly after clicking Relaunch Now on macOS Big Sur.
• Your prefered game store will now be properly selected when you launch a game for the second time.
