Corsair One a200: Testergebnisse und Benchmarks

ComputerBase hat den Corsair One a200 mit vollständig aktualisiertem Windows 10 Version 20H2, aktuellstem AMD-Chipsatztreiber und Nvidias GeForce-Treiber 466.47 (GRD) getestet. Im BIOS wurden die Werkseinstellungen übernommen. Die zwei 16 GB großen DDR4-Riegel vom Typ Corsair Vengeance LPX betreibt der Hersteller mit sehr konservativen Timings von CL-18-22-22-42, was der Stabilität und den Temperaturen zugutekommen soll. Der Takt liegt bei 3.200 MHz, so wie es AMD für Ryzen vorsieht.
Im BIOS können Anwender allerdings nach Belieben eigene Einstellungen vornehmen, denn auch wenn der Corsair One quasi ein OEM-System ist, wurde das BIOS des Mainboards von ASRock nicht beschnitten. Anwender sind allerdings auf BIOS-Updates von Corsair angewiesen, die Dateien von ASRock sind nicht kompatibel.
Benchmarks mit dem Standard-Lüfterprofil
ComputerBase hat den Corsair One a200 im Parcours mit der ab Werk konfigurierten Lüftersteuerung getestet. Alternativ kann über Corsairs vorinstallierte iCUE-Software das Profil „Extreme“ gewählt werden.
Das hat ausschließlich Einfluss auf den großen Systemlüfter im Deckel, der dann im Blender Benchmark mit knapp 2.000 statt etwas über 1.000 Umdrehungen pro Minute agiert. Das System ist dann nicht mehr erstaunlich leise, sondern laut. Dank 15 Grad geringerer Temperaturen kann der Prozessor unter Volllast dafür höher takten, während er mit dem Standardprofil gegenüber einem Ryzen 9 5900X aus dem CPU-Testsystem zurückstecken muss, obwohl die Verlustleistung dieselbe ist. Den Blender Benchmark absolviert das System so 4 Prozent zügiger. In Spielen zeigt sich wiederum kein Leistungsunterschied durch den Wechsel der Lüftersteuerung.
ComputerBase hat sich mit Blick auf Leistung und Lautstärke daher dazu entschlossen, den Corsair One a200 wie den Vorgänger, der zum Start noch keine Profile bot, im Standardprofil zu testen.
Leistung in Anwendungen
ComputerBase hat den Ryzen 9 5900X des Corsair One a200 im bekannten CPU-Testparcours geprüft. Damit stehen sehr viele Vergleichswerte ganz unterschiedlicher CPU-Leistungsklassen zur Verfügung.
Leistung in Multi-Core-Apps
Dank Zen 3 erreicht der Corsair One a200 mit Ryzen 9 5900X in den Multi-Core-App-Benchmarks annähernd das Niveau des Corsair One a100 mit Ryzen 9 3950X, obwohl er vier Kerne weniger hat. Dabei könnte das Duell sogar noch knapper ausgehen, wenn der Corsair One a200 nicht noch etwas stärker hinter den von ComputerBase separat getesteten Ryzen 9 5900X zurückfallen würde als der Ryzen 9 3950X vor einem Jahr. Auch wenn Corsair der CPU im System keine harten Fesseln anlegt, kann der Prozessor nicht ganz so frei drehen wie im CPU-Testsystem.
Über alle Anwendungen ist die CPU im Corsair One a200 am Ende 7 Prozent langsamer als im separaten Prozessor-Test, beim Corsair One a100 lag der Unterschied bei 3 Prozent. An engeren Grenzwerten für die Verlustleistung oder Stromstärke liegt das nicht, stattdessen ist es eine Kombination aus der im Standardprofil sehr warm laufenden CPU und den extrem konservativen Speicherlatenzen (CL-18-22-22-42 im Corsair One vs. CL-14-14-14-34 im CPU-Testsystem). Mit dem Extreme-Profil der Lüftersteuerung lassen sich im Schnitt über die Multi-Core-Apps 4 Prozent an Leistung gewinnen.

In Spielen – die Vergleichswerte stammen vom GPU-Testsystem mit Ryzen 9 5950X (DDR4-3600, CL14) inklusive auf allen kompatiblen GPUs aktiviertem rBAR – entscheidet in Ultra HD in erster Linie die verbaute GeForce RTX 3080, wie schnell das System rendert. Die CPU tritt etwas in den Hintergrund. Im Testmodell sitzt ein nicht näher genanntes Custom-Design von Asus – dass es immer so bleibt, garantiert Corsair nicht. Die TGP der GeForce RTX 3080 im Corsair One a200 liegt mit 320 Watt auf Referenzniveau. Die GPU wird unter Last nicht wärmer als 70 °C.
In Ultra HD erreicht der Corsair One a200 mit Ryzen 9 5900, dem mit hohen Timings betriebenen RAM und der GeForce RTX 3080 bei 320 Watt das zu erwartende Niveau. Das Grafikkarten-Testsystem mit Ryzen 9 5950X, schnellerem RAM (DDR4-3600, CL14) und GeForce RTX 3080 FE ist nicht flotter unterwegs. Leistung der Laufwerke
Das Muster des Corsair One a200 setzt auf eine SSD vom Typ Corsair MP600 (Test), die eine schnelle, wenn auch keine der schnellsten NVMe-SSDs mit PCI Express 4.0 ist. Für einen Gaming-PC ist sie eine gute Wahl. Wie bei der Grafikkarte will Corsair den Einsatz genau dieser SSD dauerhaft allerdings nicht garantieren und nennt in den Spezifikationen aus eben diesem Grund auch kein Modell.

Ob im Corsair One Pro a200 eine MP600 Pro (Test) zum Einsatz kommt, wollte der Hersteller aus diesem Grund ebenfalls nicht beantworten. Weil die MP600 Pro unter Dauerlast ein gutes Stück schneller ist, würde das SSD-Upgrade dem Pro-Rechner definitiv gut stehen.
Eine zum wiederholten Mal enttäuschende Wahl ist das sekundäre Laufwerk: In einem derart hochwertigen Rechner zum Preis von über 4.000 Euro ist schon lange kein Platz mehr für eine HDD. Erst recht nicht, wenn sie nur 2 TB groß ist – also den Größenvorteil einer klassischen HDD nicht ausspielt.
