Alder-Lake-CPUs: Intel veröffentlicht Liste der Spiele mit DRM-Problemen

Im Nachgang des Starts hat Intel nun doch noch eine Liste der von DRM-Problemen betroffenen Spiele mit Alder Lake veröffentlicht. Viele davon sollen Mitte November mit einem Windows-11-Update behoben werden, jedoch nicht alle. Die Liste soll laut Intel wöchentlich aktualisiert und abgearbeitet werden.

Workaround für Windows-11-Systeme

Falls auf der Liste ein Spiel vorhanden ist, welches Kunden unbedingt weiter nutzen möchten, können sie einen Workaround anwenden. Damit wird umgangen, dass die DRM-Software die E-Cores hier und da als anderes System erkennt und dies zu Problemen führen kann.

Workaround steps for end-users to enable Legacy Game Compatibility Mode with affected games that have not received a software fix:

1. Power-up system and enter system BIOS setup.
2. Enable switch Legacy Game Compatibility Mode to ON (one-time only) in BIOS.
3. Save BIOS setup changes and exit.
4. Boot to OS.
5. Toggle Keyboard Scroll Lock key ON.
6. Launch affected game title.
7. Toggle Keyboard Scroll Lock key OFF after ending game title.

Bei Windows 10 heißt es warten – oder updaten auf Windows 11

Wie Intel ausführt, ist neben Windows 11 aber auch Windows 10 betroffen. Einen Patch verspricht man erst einmal nur für das neue Windows, die weiteren Spiele sollen mit den jeweiligen Herstellern abgearbeitet werden.

The games listed below are known to be impacted by the Digital Rights Management (DRM) software issue with Windows 11*. The games listed in bold are expected to be patched sometime in mid-November with the upcoming Windows 11 update. We are working with developers to resolve issues with the rest of the games listed. In the meantime, the Scroll Lock workaround can be used.

For Windows 10, the games above are affected, and we are working with developers to get a patch. The games below are also affected. For the list below, you can update to Windows 11 or use the Scroll Lock workaround while we work to get this resolved. This list will also be updated as patches are released.
