Microsoft hat das neueste kumulative Update KB5020044 als Option für alle Computersysteme mit Windows 11 2022 („22H2“) freigegeben und das Betriebssystem damit auf den Build 22621.900 angehoben. Das zuvor noch im Release Preview Channel erprobte Update stellt OneDrive und Spotlight in den Blickpunkt und behebt Fehler.

Das optionale kumulative Update KB5020044 wird aktuell über Windows Update allen Anwendern mit Windows 11 2022 angeboten, nachdem zuvor nur Windows 11 Insider im Release Preview Channel die Aktualisierung einspielen konnten. Wie den offiziellen Versionshinweisen ferner zu entnehmen ist, sind aktuell keinerlei Probleme oder Update-Sperren („Safeguard Hold“) für das optionale kumulative Update KB5020044 bekannt. Einzig Administratoren, welche Geschäfts- oder Schulnetzwerke konfigurieren, werden auf fehlerhafte Bereitstellungspakete („PPKG-Dateien“) hingewiesen. Microsoft arbeitet aktuell an einer Lösung dieses Problems.

Das Kopieren großer Dateien mit mehreren Gigabyte kann unter Windows 11, Version 22H2 länger dauern als erwartet.
Es ist wahrscheinlicher, dass dieses Problem beim Kopieren von Dateien nach Windows 11, Version 22H2 von einer Netzwerkfreigabe über Server Message Block (SMB) auftritt, aber auch das lokale Kopieren von Dateien kann betroffen sein.
