Hallo,

"Harjeet" guided me to this document: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/512/cpsid_51260.html

I downloaded the Adobe Licensing Repair Tool. I then unpacked the LicenseRecovery111.dmg and mounted it. From that "disk" I clicked on the LicenseRecover application inside the License Recovery folder. That didn't do anything. I then clicked on the LicenseRecoveryLauncher script and that opened a Terminal session. I had to enter in my Administrator password and I followed the instructions.

The result was Dreamweaver did start and asked me to verify my serial number (the number was all ready there in the boxes). I then had to Activate the software with Adobe, which took a second or two on my Mac Pro. I was all set.

I have to say, I don't particularly like talking to India for technical support. Especially when they hang up on you. This process took two hours and I didn't have two hours to waste. I am documenting this so that others may be able to follow the steps necessary to repair their own FLEXnet Publisher when that gets corrupted, which seems to happen a lot these days.

Carl :
Hello and welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXX. XXX can I be of assistance to you?
Carl :
Try this and let me know if this fixes your problem
Carl :
Rename the FLEXnet folder to FLEXnetold in the following location:
On Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet
On Windows Vista or Windows 7:
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet folder
Customer : Hi Carl.
Customer : Renaming the FLEXnet folder tomFLEXnetold did not work. If it helps, inside the ANT Subsystem Failure box it says The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support. (14)
Carl :
What I would suggest is uninstall both applications and reinstall them. If they have become corrupt this should fix them. Let me know if you can give that a try.
Customer :
I will try that this evening when I'm finished working and let you know what happens next.
Carl :
Sounds good. Thanks for letting me know.
Customer :
It ended up that when I went into Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, to uninstall, it gave me an option to fix or repair and I selected that option. Once that was done, the error didn't come up again.
