iMac Late 2013 - Startet einfach neu sobald unter Last

Hallo verehrte Gemeinde!

Ich bin u.a. im Besitz eines iMac 21.5 late 2013 mit i5 2.7GHz, 1TB Fusion Drive und 16GB Ram Speicher, es ist das aktuellste macOS 10.14.3 frisch installiert.

Das Problem: mein Gerät stürzt ab sobald es leicht gefordert wird, beispielsweise wenn ich über Safari auf eine Internetseite möchte oder auf iTunes ein Video abspiele. Musik abspielen geht ohne Einwände und sonstige Arbeiten im System funktionieren. Wie erwähnt ist das System bereits sauber und frisch neuaufgesetzt worden. Das Problem kommt auch im abgesicherten Modus, ein Hardwaretest wurde durchgeführt - dieser ergab keine Fehler.

Hier noch der Fehlerbericht, hier steht etwas von "Machine Check", was ja auf einen Hardware Fehler deutet. Es wurden keine neuen Geräte oder sonstige Hardware angeschlossen, außer der Apple BT Tastatur und Maus. Kann man sonst noch irgendwie den Fehler identifizieren?

Teste den Spaß mal mit nur einem Ram Riegel (vermutlich ist einer defekt) und schau ob der CPU Lüfter läuft. Nach 4-5 Jahren sollte er ggf. auch einmal gereinigt werden.

Alternativ könnte auch das Netzteil fertig sein und unter "Last" die Spannungen nicht mehr halten.

Danke, für die Ansätze. Ich werde das Teil mal öffnen und nachgucken. Ist der Lüfter eines iMacs den hörbar, ich habe bisher absolut keine Erfahrungen mit iMacs und deren Verhalten. Stand jetzt: ich höre absolut gar nichts. Im Falle einer Verstopfung müsste er ja warm werden, kann ich die Temperatur irgendwo auslesen? Danke!

Ja, dafür gibt es einfache Programme. Einfach googlen, ich kenne micht mit dem Mac OS leider nicht besonders aus.

Smcfancontrol prüft z.B. die Lüfter RPM
Auch von der HDD.

Wenn ein Lüfter sich aber nicht dreht, bekommst du keine Kernel Panic sondern erst wird dein iMac langsam, dann taktet er auf 0.x GHz und dann schaltet er sich ab.

Kurzes Update: habe das Gerät geöffnet viel Staub war nicht drin. Habe vier Kombinationen mit Arbeitsspeicher durchprobiert (jeweils einzeln in jeweiligen Slots) brachte keinen Erfolg. Der Rechner stürzt immer ab sobald ich in Safari auf irgendeine Website gehe. Ich habe zum Vergleich Chrome installiert mit dem selben Resultat. In iTunes kann ich problemlos Musik hören bzw. Videos anschauen. HD Videos über das Netzlaufwerk stremmen funktioniert auch einwandfrei.

Ich habe nun einen neuen RAM Riegel bestellt um den Arbeitsspeicher gänzlich auszuschließen. Falls es damit nicht klappt, werde ich mal ein Ersatz Logic Board besorgen müssen.

Wird am Logic-Board liegen. Hatte ein ähnlichen Fall mit einem alten ITX System aus 2012 mit H77 Chipsatz. Da ist wohl auch das Board defekt und sobald da Last drauf kam lief es evtl. für ein paar Minuten und danach neustart.

Kurzes Update: Am Arbeitsspeicher liegt es nicht, mit dem neuen RAM gab es keine Besserung. Habe nun ein gebrauchtes, baugleiches Logic Board aus Großbritannien bestellt ( 240€ inkl. Versand), kommt in ein paar Tagen.

So, das Ersatz Logicboard ist eingebaut, das System fährt nicht hoch weil ein Ordner mit ? Fragezeichen blinkt, ich müsste wohl in Recovery System. Das Problem die BT Tastatur kennt das neue Logicboard bzw. das neue BT Modul nicht, ich kann also den Befehl (⌘)-R nicht ausführen. Gibt es einen Umweg oder braucht es jetzt eine USB Tastatur? Und würde es mit ihr denn dann gehen, muss es original apple sein?

Ne geht auch mit einer Windows Tastatur. Bedenke aber, dass in dem Fall "CMD" die Windows-Taste ist, du musst also Windows-Taste+R drücken. Ich nutze selber eine K70 Lux am Mac Mini die mittels KVM auch an meinem Threadripper System ist. Sobald du in der Recovery bist, kannst du auch deine BT Tastatur verbinden.

Abschließendes Ergebnis: Das Ersatz-LogicBoard läuft einwandfrei, der Rechner startet nun nicht mehr spontan neu, habe bei der Gelegenheit die 1TB HDD durch eine 500GB SSD ersetzt. Eine Schrecksekunde hatte ich noch als ich nach dem Einbau des Logicboards den Rechner das erste mal startete, lief für 3 Sekunden der Lüfter volle Leistung und aus den Lüftungschlitzen kam ein Wolke raus, da dachte ich: jetzt brennt mir das Teil um die Ohren ab. Dabei war das nur eine Staubwolke - Gott sei Dank .
