I want to use the Kraken X72 cooler and the metals used in that, are aluminium and copper as specified by the producer. The best heat paste for overclocking seems to be The Thermal Grizzly Conductornaut liquid thermal paste, but it is not supposed to be used with aluminium coolers. So I need to know, whether the spots that come into direct contact with the paste are made from copper or aluminium in order to avoid problems. I have contacted the X72 producer but did not receive an answer. Can anyone help, please?
Thank you,
Mike

This is a German Forum... There are plenty english Forums, why do you post here?

But on topic: the coldplate, the part that touches the CPU ist copper. The Radiator is Aluminium. So the thermalpaste only touches the CPU and copper. But Liquidmetal is conductive and very dangerous. If spilled, it can kill your motherboard or cpu. If you dont know what you are doing, i would highly recommend NOT using this Thermalpaste. Additionally the benefit is minor. I recommend an english Forum and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut or Noctua NT-H1. They work great and the performance difference is not that big.
