PS3 Media Server stürzt bei Zugriff ab

Servus zusammen,

ich hab mir heute PS3 Media Server installiert. Ziel, ganz klar: Vom PC auf die PS3 streamen.

Meine Geräte:
PC siehe Signatur, mit Windows 8.1
PS3, aktueller Softwarestand
PS3 Media Server 1.90.1
Fritz Box 7490, FritzOS 06.23
Netzwerk über WLAN

Die PS3 wird sofort erkannt, an den vorhandenen Eisntellungen hab ich nix geändert außer den Freigabeordner zu setzen, so weit so gut. Wenn ich im Menü der PS3 bin wird der PS3 Media Server auch angezeigt. Wenn ich zugreife, wird mir mein Freigabeordner angezeigt. Wenn ich den betrete, werden mir alle Unterordner angezeigt. Wenn ich nun aber tiefer in den Dateienhaufen möchte, stürzt PS3 Media Server sofort und ohne Vorwarnung ab. Es ist einfach nicht mehr da.
Die PS3 gibt als Fehler DNLA Error 2101 oder 2104 an, das ist immer mal unterschiedlich.

Ich hab schon mehrere Sachen versucht.

• UPNP in der FritzBox ausschalten
• Speicherplatz auf der Festplatte freirtäumen (ja, das hat bei manchen angeblich geholfen) Hab jetzt 28 GB frei.
• Mit den Ports herumexperimentiert

Das bringt aber alles keine Änderung der Lage.

Weiß jemand von euch Rat?

WLan ist bei sowas immer suboptimal, versuch es erstmal mit Kabel Luftlinie, und dann kann man weiter suchen.

mein pc (aka pms) hängt auch via wlan am restlichen netz und funktioniert auch. an dem kanns per se nicht liegen. firewall software abgedreht? wenn keine extra FW da ist, wie siehts mit der windows eigenen aus?
banale möglichkeit: pms neu installieren. ich hatte mal mit den ports probleme, nach einer neuinstallation von pms kein problem mehr.

gibt zwei möglichkeiten.

1. in irgendeinem unterordner ist ein video, dessen codec nicht lesbar ist
2. zu viele dateien/videos.

So, ich hab den gesamten gestrigen Abend damit zugebracht, das zum laufen zu bringen. Ich hab die Firewall abegschaltet, Ausnahmeregeln einprogrammiert, Ports manuell freigegeben und so weiter und so weiter.

Die Lösung am Ende? Es scheint wirklich etwas mit den Dateien im gewählten Ordner zu tun zu haben, das hätte ich nicht erwartet!

Ich hatte anfangs meinen Downloadordner ausgewählt in dem sich ja alles mögliche an Dateien tummelt. Als ich gestern gegen 11 dann mal einen Unterordner meines Downloadordners getestet hab, ging es plötzlich! Ich konnte mir ohne Probleme MKVs ansehen. Auch mit wieder aktiver Firewall läuft es.
Die Frage ist nun: Womit kommt PMS nicht klar, mit einigen der Dateien oder mit der zugegeben hohen Anzahl?

Ich soll ich direkt lieber TVersity probieren?
Mit XBMC/Kodi hatte ich keinen Erfolg, die PS3 erkennt da keinen Server wenn ich das in Benutzung hab. Eventuell hab ich bei der Konfiguration aber auch was übersehen.
