Hallo zusammen,

vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen. 2 Kollegen von mir sind in eine WG zusammengezogen und ausschließlich bei ihrem WLAN habe ich Probleme. Ich verliere ständig die WLAN Verbindung. Das WLAN wird dann einmal getrennt und direkt wieder verbunden. Das Problem tritt recht häufig auf, oft alle 20 – 30 Sekunden, manchmal jedoch 5 Minuten ohne eine Trennung des WLANs. Mittlerweile habe ich einiges versucht, aber nichts richtig rausbekommen. Ich schreibe jetzt mal in Stichpunkten auf, was für Hardware genutzt wird und was ich schon versucht habe.

WLAN Geräte:
  • Telekom Speedport Smart 3 als Mesh Basis für 2 Speed Home WiFi Access Points (Mesh nach Anleitung eingerichtet)
  • Neuste Firmware Updates für den Router selber, und für die Speed Home WiFi APs

Getestete Smartphones:
2 x Samsung Galaxy S8 - beide keine Disconnects der Smartphones (Android 9 seit gestern und 8.1)
1x Oneplus 3T – LineageOS 16 – Android 9 – Fehler tritt auf
1x Nexus 4 – LineageOS 15 – Android 8.1 (gleicher Fehler bei Downgrade auf LineageOS 14.1 – Android 7.1.2)
1x Moto G Play – Android 7.1.1 – Fehler tritt ebenfalls auf

Windows Clients sind nicht davon betroffen.

Also die quasi Standard Einstellungen, die man so durchgeht habe ich schon einmal alle umgestellt – ohne Besserung.
  • Ändern der SSID (hieß vorher „WLAN-XXXX – wurde geändert auf „24er“ fürs 2,4 GHz Band und „5er“ für das 5 GHz Band)
  • Feste Kanalwahl – automatische Kanalwahl
  • Sende/Empfangsleistung auf dem Router
  • Feste IP-Adresse im DHCP
Es gibt bekannte WLAN Probleme auf Android Geräten, die mit Android 8.1 reingepatcht wurden und bisher nicht gefixt wurden von Google. Deswegen auch das Downgrade vom Nexus 4 von Android 8.1 auf Android 7.1.2 – aber keine Besserung.
Spannend ist auch, dass beide Samsung S8 Geräte nicht betroffen sind.
Da ich das Oneplus 3T und das Nexus 4 gerootet hab, bin ich natürlich auch mal die Logs durchgegangen. Das Moto G Play ist leider nicht gerootet.

Aber beim Oneplus und Nexus habe ich folgende Fehler:

Wir sitzen auf der Couch - sind auch so gut wie immer zum Access Point 2 im Wohnzimmer verbunden.



Der Fehler tritt sowohl im 5 GHz sowie auch um 2,4 GHz Band auf.



Hat jemand ne Idee, woran diese Disconnects liegen können und wie ich den Fehler quasi beheben kann?
Ist es eher eine eher suboptimale Konfiguration des WLANS (auch wenn man die ja nicht beeinflussen kann durch die Mesh Konfiguration) oder liegt es an irgendwelchen Android Einstellungen?

Wie werden die Speed Home Wifi betrieben? Als Repeater oder als AP´s mit LAN Verbindung?
 
Repeater - da leider kein Kabel gezogen werden kann...also Access Point 1 und 2 sind per WLAN an den Router Speedport smart 3 angeschlossen
 
Eine Erklärung für dein Phänomen habe ich nicht. Wenn ihr meist mit dem AP2 verbunden seit, dann würde ich diesen wenn möglich auf die gegenüberliegende Wand nach unten machen, da dann die Distanz zu den anderen beiden Geräten geringer ist. Der Abstand zur Couch sollte ja gleich bleiben.

Wie ist eigentlich AP2 verknüpft mit AP1 oder direkt mit Router?

Kabel kann man schon legen. Ist halt immer mit Aufwand verbunden. Ein Loch durch eine Wand darf man auch in einer Mietwohnen machen und es gibt auch noch Flachband-LAN Kabel die man hinter Fußleisten verstecken kann.
 
Schalte die Legacy Unterstützung für alle nicht benötigten WLAN Standards ab (Siehe BDA ab Seite 207)
Wähle testhalber n-only fürs 2,4GHz Netz und ac-only fürs 5GHz Netz. Schieb alle Geräte die ac können auch in dieses Netz, den Rest meldest Du im 2,4GHz Netz an.
Stell die Kanäle fest ein. Wähle 1,5,9 oder 13 fürs 2,4GHz Netz und 36 fürs 5GHz Netz.
Sollte es weiterhin zu Abbrüchen kommen, wirds schwierig.
 
@Aceton, hattest du eine Lösung für das Problem gefunden? Ich habe nämlich dasselbe Problem mit meinem OnePlus 3T.

Update1: Never mind, ich denke ich habe es gefixt. Lösung war, mittels root den PMF Parameter im wpa_supplicant.conf auf 0 zu setzen im wpa_supplicant.conf:
sed -i s/pmf=1/pmf=0/ /data/vendor/wifi/wpa/wpa_supplicant.conf

Manchmal ist diese Datei auch woanders zu finden. Sonst einfach mit find /data/ -name '*wpa*' danach suchen.

Dieser Post hat mir ein wenig dabei geholfen übrigens.

Update2: Leider hat es doch nichts gebracht :(. Problem besteht weiterhin.

Router werksretten und das mesh neu einbinden. wenn es danach für eine Woche wieder geht, liegt es möglicherweise an der zu langen dhcp lease time im Zusammenhang mit dem „wlan anonym verbinden Feature“ der händys, das bei jedem neuen verbinden mit dem händy den dhcp-Server füllt.
