hallo,

ich möchte gerne whs 2011 auf meine 60gb ssd installieren.
das ging nicht, da anscheinend das laufwerk min 160gb gross sein muss.
dann habe ich die anleitung gefunden:

wenn ich den usb stick mit der datei einstecke installiert er dann zwar von alleine wie es sei sollte, er bricht dann aber ab:

Bullshit! Dafür ist ja die Anleitung da. Da stimmt was mit dem USB Datenträger nicht.

Dafür sind genannte Systemanforderungen da, die manche mit Gefrickel zu umgehen versuchen.

Oder kannst du sicher sagen, ob das nicht irgendwelche anderen Probleme mit sich bringen könnte.
MS hat die Mindestfestplattengröße vielleicht nicht umsonst so groß gewählt....

Für Windows 7 gibt MS ja z. B. auch nur 20 GB an.
Gefrickel zieht gerne weiteres Gefrickel nach sich.

MS hat die Festplattengröße so groß gewählt, weil WHS standardmäßig eine DATENpartition mit auf die erste Platte legt. Durch die umgeschriebene cfg.ini wird KEINE DATENpartition auf die erste Platte gelegt -> ist auch sinnvoll wenn weitere Festplatten reinkommen.

Alles schön und gut, nur legt der WHS2011 selber eine 60GB-Partition auf der 160GB+ Partition an, um darauf das OS zu installieren. Auf dem Rest der HDD ist dann eine Partition für die Daten. Also denke ich kann man bedenkenlos das OS auf eine 60GB SSD installieren.

Ich überlege selber meinen WHS2011 auf einer SSD zu installieren.

Also funktionieren tut es einwandfrei. Warum MS die Mindestgröße gemacht hat keine Ahnung, wenn man aber als Datenplatte ne große nimmt macht ne SSD schon Sinn. Aber nur vom Prinzip. Wenn das Ding läuft ist es nämlich bei WHS absolut egal ob SSD oder HDD. (vom Speed)

Einfachste Möglichkeit auf die SSD umzuziehen ist auf HDD zu installieren, manuell die Partitionsgröße auf die Größe der SSD verkleinern, dann die Platte austauschen und das WHS Backup zurückzuspielen. Die Partitonsgröße kann dann wieder in der Datenträgerverwaltung vergrößert werden.)

Das Alignment kannst Du dann noch ändern oder eben auch nicht.

Mein WHS läuft absolut einwandfrei Auf ner Vertex 2 mit 50GB inc. Trim etc.

Ich kann definitiv sagen, dass durch die Umstellung keinerlei Probpleme entstehen. Mein WHS läuft seit knapp nem Jahr auf ner SSD mit 50 GB...

ich habe die lösung gefunden. man muss ahci im bios deaktivieren, damit dass mit dem usb stick klappt!

du bist wohl einer von den typen die zb. übertaktete computer auch generell ablehnen? und sich immer strikt an die herstellerangaben halten?


ps: ich benutzte die ssd als system platte, für daten gibt es 2x2 tb wd platten und 60gb fürs system reichen aus. egal was microsoft schreibt.

Ja, ich habe selbst noch nie nen PC übertaktet, leigt aber wohl auch daran, dass ich seit knapp 10 Jahren nur noch Notebooks einsetze. Ich kauf da eh lieber neu als wegen 10 % Leistungssteigerung fürs Übertakten mir nen Kopf zu machen. Bin aber vllt auch schon etwas älter als du, da hat man keinen Bock mehr auf Rumgefrickel, dass Zeug soll funktionieren...
