[Xubuntu 14.04] "zusätzliche Treiber"-Probleme

Hallo,

also in dem von mir betreuten Rechner ist eine nvidia gt8600 eingebaut. Ich wollte den propieritären Treiber verwenden. Dazu nutzte ich die Möglichkeit der Treiberumstellung unter Einstellungen->"zusätzliche Treiber".

Nun, das erste mal hat es geklappt, der Treiber wurde umgeschaltet. Zum Vergleich hatte ich dann aber nochmal zurückgesetzt auf den Offenen Treiber.
Nachdem die performance des nvdia-Treibers offensichtlich besser war, wollte ich wieder umschalten. Was aber leider nicht geht. "lsmod | grep video" gibt nach wie vor "nouveau" aus.

Hab dann mal die nouveau Pakete per Synaptics gelöscht.(Werden auch nach neustart als deinstalliert unter Synaptics angezeigt)
Und trotzdem, nach wie vor ist der offene Treiber aktiv. Ich versteh mal wieder gar nix von den supertollen Ubuntu-Automatismen.

nvidia-331 für ne GT 8600? Geht das überhaupt?
Insgesamt sollte der nouveau eh alle wichtigen Features abdecken bei so einer Steinzeit-Karte. Lass den proprietären Treiber weg, wenn du keine wichtige Funktion vermisst. Macht nur mehr Mühe als die Sache am Ende Wert hat, siehste ja selbst.

Ansonsten: Evtl. kannste das nouveau - Modul in die Blacklist aufnehmen. Ich halt es für keine gute Idee, aber das sollte funktionieren.
 
Doch, beim ersten mal hats ja funktioniert. Und da die performance was flash anging besser war, wollte ich den auch wieder installieren.

Aber mir is das jetzt auch zuviel Gewurschtel. Ich belass es erstmal bei dem xorg treiber.
