Hier gibt es die erste CPU-Anwendung, die etwas vom Speicher profitieren kann. Richtig deutlich wird es aber ebenfalls erst wieder, wenn man die GPU-Beschleunigung des Programms aktiviert. Dann wird dieses nicht nur doppelt so schnell (aber durch einen leicht anderen Codec nicht 1:1 vergleichbar), auch werden die Unterschiede, bedingt durch den Arbeitsspeicher, signifikant. So braucht das System mit DDR3-1333 satte 40 Prozent länger als eines mit DDR3-2133.

Die Spiele mit der integrierten Grafik bringen nahezu alle das gleiche Bild zu Papier. Der Sprung von DDR3-1333 zu DDR3-1600 ist markant, doch auch vor dort auf DDR3-1866 passiert noch so einiges. Manchmal sind es nur einige Prozent, in jedem Fall profitiert man bei der Nutzung der integrierten Grafikleistung von schnellerem Speicher. Da sich DDR3-1600 und DDR-1866 preislich pro Gigabyte nur noch um 1,50 Euro unterscheiden, sollte man direkt zum flotteren Kandidaten greifen.
