Abit kt7a-raid + DURON1300 geht das?

Also ich habe von einem Freund einen Duron1300 bekommen, und wollte den dann gleich auf meinen Board(ABIT KT7A) verbauen. Aber ich kriegen nur einen schwarzen Bildschirm. Kann es sein das kein Duron1300 auf dem Board geht und wenn doch wie?

ps:athlon ist eh besser, da der abgepeckte cache doch ganzschön was macht!

Hi!

Der Duron muss auf alle Fälle auf dem Abit KT7A laufen! Der Duron hat nämlich einen Bustakt von 100MHz und einen Multiplikator von 13! Es kann natürlich sein, dass Du eine ältere Biosversion hast, die keinen Multi über 12 zulässt und somit der Duron mit 1300MHz nicht erkannt wird- siehe Datenblatt vom Abit KT7A: Abit KT7A-Raid

Hier findest Du für das Board die neusten Bios-Treiber zum Downloaden: Abit Bios Treiber
Mit den neusten Treiber geht dann auch nen CPU mit über 1200MHz! (sogar ein XP2100+ aka 1733MHz = 133x13)

Kann es auch sein das der neue Morgen-kern nicht erkannt wird? Ich bin zwar nicht zuhause, aber ich meine ich habe das neueste BIOS(ver.A9) drauf. Wenn nicht muss ich den Prozzie mal auf ein anderes Board ausprobieren. thx

Läuft doch nicht

Also ich habe nun den Duron auf einem anderen Board getestet und er lief, aber auf meinen Abit nicht. Kann es auch sein das mein Netzteil zu schwach ist? Es muss doch möglich sein den Duron1300 zum luafen zubekommen, oder?

hier kannst Du nachsehen das die CPU läuft, wenn Du die Revision 1.3 hast. Mit 1.1 und 1.2 geht es evtl. nicht. Cmos Clear machen, bevor die CPU eingebaut wird und erst mal alles auf default stellen. Im Softmenu gibt es eine Einstellung "Above 1200" oder "~1200", die kannst Du ausprobieren. Speicher erst mal manuell auf 100 MHZ einstellen, nicht auf auto.

Also ich habe die Rev. 1.1, habe aber immer den speicher mit 133 betrieben. Werde mal deine Vorschläge mal testen und später berichten. thx

KT7/KT7-RAID: 100MHz (200MHz DDR) FSB processors only. Fastest processor supported is the Athlon 1400(100) - but it must have locked (disconnected) L1 bridges. AthlonXP processors are not and will not be supported. Duron processors yp to 1200 are supported.
KT7E: As for KT7/KT7-RAID although unofficially many users have also succeeded with 133MHz Athlon processors. Although the AthlonXP is not officially supported, several people have told me that they using one without problems.
KT7A/KT7A-RAID versions 1.0 to 1.2: All Athlon (Thunderbird) processors with both 100MHz and 133MHz FSB. AthlonXP processors are not officially supported due to a minor timing problem that can require you to hit reset during a cold boot. Unofficially, however, few people seem to experience this problem and these processors work fine. One user had to set the CPU Driver value to 1 (instead of 2) to achieve stability with an XP1900+ on a v1.1 motherboard.
KT7A/KT7A-RAID versions 1.3: All Duron, Duron (Morgan core), Athlon (Thunderbird) and AthlonXP processors to 2100+ are supported. AthlonXP processors at 2200+ are not supported.
The motherboard version can be identified by the bar coded sticker near the ISA slot. Likewise, according to ABIT technical support the Duron (Morgan core) is only supported on the version 1.3 of the motherboard
Das brauchst Du nicht testen, der Morgan wird erst ab 1.3 unterstützt.

Der Duron läuft nicht, kann ich dann wenigstens einen XP+1800 einsetzten? Oder klappt das auch nicht.

Also ich werde mal einen gewagten mod versuchen und ein Bios der rev. 1.3 draufknallen und hoffen das es dann geht.

Bios-mod

Also ich habe mir nun das Bios von der Rev. 1.3 auf mein Board mit rev. 1.0 gepackt und es wurde ohne probleme angenommen. Nun konte ich auch den Duron1300 draufpacken. Will mal ausprobieren ob ich auch eine XP2100+ draufpacken lässt.
