News Günstige Notebooks: AMD bringt Zen-Architektur endlich ins Chromebook

Aktuelle gibt es 2 Monate später noch keine Chromebooks auf Ryzen-Basis.

Die Firmware zum Booten - Coreboot, die bei Chromebooks eingesetzt wird, verzeichnet allerding mehrere Änderungen für diese Architektur - Codename des Geräts ist "zork" - Es wird also noch daran gearbeitet.

Die Unterstützung bei Intel ist allerdings etwas umfangreicher im Vergleich : gitweb coreboot intel
(zB schon Einträge für Alder Lake)

Außerdem sind es vermutlich nur Google-Entwickler - AMD hat mehrere Jahre (bald 4 !) nach dem Start der Zen-Architektur noch keine offenen (ohne NDA) Dokumentation für BIOS Entwickler (BKDG - Bios and Kernel Developer Guide) : hier gibts nur für Fam 15h (Bulldozer etc.) und Fam 17h fehlt.
