HP TC4400 Display extrem dunkel

Hallo,
ich habe hier ein Convertible von HP zu liegen, dessen Display zu dunkel ist. Die Helligkeit, die maximal eingestellt werden kann, liegt bei etwa 25% eines normalen Notebooks. Auf dem Convertible ist Windows 7 installiert statt der original Windows XP Tablet Edition.
Könnt ihr mir mitteilen, woran es liegen könnte?

Display is still dim after restarting with the AC adapter connected.

Goal : Change the LCD brightness.

Guidance:

Follow one of the below steps to adjust the LCD brightness.

1. From the Windows desktop, hold the Fn key and press the F7 and F8 keys, OR F9 and F10 keys depending on the Notebook model, to increase or decrease the brightness of the display.

2. Follow the below steps to Adjust Brightness: (Applicable only on certain models)

•Click Start , Control Panel and then double click Display .

•Select the Settings tab and click Advanced .

•If the feature is available, a tab with the video card name will be present. If it is, select that tab.

•Adjust the desired brightness.

QUESTION: Is the Display still dim?

YES!

State: The display on the internal LCD panel is still very dim.

Goal: To check the display on an external monitor.

Guidance:

Connect an external monitor and check if the display on the external monitor is correct.

If the display is dim only on the internal LCD panel and is good on the external monitor, it confirms that the internal LCD panel is defective.

Question:

Is the display on the external monitor without any issues?

YES!

STATE: Yes

GUIDANCE: If display remains dim, it is possible that the backlight is damaged. Please Contact HP service and support to schedule a repair.
