Kann es sein das die X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series nicht über die Möglichkeit verfügt über SPDIF ein Dolby Digital Signal zu empfangen und zu decodieren?

Getting Your X-Fi or Audigy’s Dolby and DTS To Work In Windows Vista (SPDIF IN Working Too)
8 08 2007
So hopefully you’ve all got your Audigy’s working in 5.1 now. If you haven’t you need to go back and read Working 5.1 Audigy Series Vista Drivers. As far as I know this fix will work on most Creative Labs sound cards in Vista 32bit and 64bit.
5.1 sound is great when it works. Mine worked for me playing DVD’s and playing games, but when I played multi channel mp3 through Windows Media Player the sound would be 2 channel only.
Creative Labs released a FAQ that said:
”Will decoding of Dolby Digital and DTS signals be supported in the future? If not, why not?
These functions are not supported at driver level in Windows Vista and going forward will be supported at application level by applications such as Power DVD or WinDVD.”
What a load of rubbish! Creative Labs removed Dolby decoding on their mainstream drivers, yet saw fit to leave the feature in Dell drivers!
Please Note: The follow method is the advanced manual method. I strongly suggest you try the recently added Audigy Series Vista Driver Installer Package before you try this manual install.
Firstly we need to download the Vista x86 X-Fi driver from Dell. Just go on the Dell site and get these Dell drivers. Now extract the R144728.EXE file (again using WinRar) to a folder but dont install it just cancel after extracting.
All you really want are two files that you can find located in your newly extracted folder; R144728\Drivers\wdm\win2k_xp\i386\
These files are ctac32k.sys and ctdvda2k.sys. Copy them and place them into your c:\windows\system32\drivers folder, replacing existing versions.
Now reboot and afterwards you’ll have a brand new tab in the Creative Audio Console (CAC -lol) labelled “Decoder”.
Now you can enable the internal decoder and your SPDIF IN can now decode DTS. Now you can use more than 2 speakers in Windows Media Player when playing .avi or .mp3 with multichannel soundtracks.
I hope this fix helps somebody as much as it helped me.

Update
Der hat mir gerade den link geschickt
http://nomoregoatsoup.wordpress.com...o-work-in-windows-vista-spdif-in-working-too/
Leider ist dort alles auf english. Da verstehe ich nur Bahnhof. Kann das jemand erklären?
Installed new driver and new suite, everything is working perfectly. And it is possible to activate DolbyDigital & DTS decoding in Vista. All you need to do is to replace ctac32k.sys in System32/drivers from Dell driver. Why Creative make it functional for Dell and not for the others I don't know. I did that and get one more tab for decoders in Creative panel.
First download the latest drivers from Creative: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/
then update to newr version via WIndows update.
Download the drivers from http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R144728.EXE then u a program like winrar to extract that exe file to a folder, there should be the folder path /drivers/wdm/win2k_xp then in there if you have 32 bit vista, use the folder i386, if you have 64-bit vista use the folder amd64 copy the file ctac32k.sys to c:\windows\system32\drivers (overwrite if necessary). Then, restart the computer. Go to device manager, make sure you have it set to display hidden devices. Look for Creative AC3 Software Decoder. Double click that. Then on one of the tabs there should be a start/stop button. Make sure you stop it then start it again.
Now you can choose either to download new Creative VIsta X-Fi suite or YouP-PAX X-Fi2 suite http://youppax.shcsclan.com/YouP-PAX-X-FI2007.rar
and install what you desire except audio drivers, you already got them.
So, regarding previous post, this method of enabling DD/DTS decoding on X-Fi was found on IXBT forum - a russian hardware forum. Here's what you need to do:
1) Download AC3 and DTS decoder driver files from http://rapidshare.com/files/100734229/Drivers.rar.html, and extract them to C:\windows\system32\drivers folder (don't forget to make backups).
2) Reboot.
3) Download Creative Audio Console fix from http://vbkesha.prgr.org/ website. It's a link named 2.15.0006 near the bottom of the page. Or here's the direct link: http://vbkesha.prgr.org/2.15.0006(X-Fi_DD_DTS_FIX).rar
4) Unrar the files from the archive to c:\Windows\system32\data, replacing the original ones. DO the backup before that!!! Just in case.
5) Restart.
6) After restart do Restore Defaults for Creative software (Start->Programs->Creative->Restore Defauts)
7) Now, if you launch Audio console, you'll see a new decoder tab, which appeared. You can choose, which decoder to use - internal or external there.
Please note that this works only for driver 2.15.0006. for 2.14.0004 it causes BSOD on every reboot. Also this method works ONLY for XteremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series, Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series, Elite Pro (6L) (as website says).
Now, my personal feedback. The method somewhat worked for me. I've got new tab in audio console, also in Audio Ceter in Gaming mode i could click Settings, and choose which decoder to use as well. But the problem for me is that decoder itself didn't want to work. I've installed WinDVD8, chose to use SPDIF output there, but no sound ever came out.
However some people on IXBT forum were successful. So i guess i need to do some additional testing.
Will keep you updated.
