vor wenigen Tagen freigegeben - die neueste Distribution von MX-Linux als MX-21.1 („Wildflower“) auf Debian 11 („Bullseye“) basierend: MX Linux - das ist eine Kooperation zwischen der antiX und der MX Linux communities; https://mxlinux.org & www.antixlinux.com Die neue Version ist in drei Editionen erhältlich: Xfce, KDE Plasma und Fluxbox.

zu den Neuerungen in MX-21.1: MX-21.1 is the first refresh of our MX-21 release, consisting of bugfixes, kernels, and application updates since our original release of MX-21. If you are already running MX-21, there is no need to reinstall. Packages are all available thru the regular update channel.

Die Highlights von 21.1:

• Debian 11.3 “bullseye” base
• New and updated applications.
• Disk-manager returns to the official isos.
• mx-samba-config for a desktop-agnostic way of configuring samba/cifs usershares.
• mx-installer received several improvements.
• All kernel updates: AHS now uses 5.16 kernel.

und natürlich die Highlights der Version MX-21.:

• neuer Bereich zur Auswahl/Verwaltung der Installer-Partition, einschließlich einiger LVM-Unterstützung, wenn LVM-Volume vorhanden ist bereits und die Möglichkeit, vorhandene Datenpartitionen so einzustellen, dass sie bei der Installation gemountet werden.
• neue bzw. überarbeitete UEFI-Live-Systemstartmenüs; UEFI-Live-Benutzer können jetzt Ihre Live-Boot-Optionen (Persistenz usw.) aus dem Startmenü und den Untermenüs auswählen,
• anstatt die vorherigen zu verwenden Konsolenmenüs Xfce 4.16, Plasma 5.20,
• Fluxbox kommt in Version 1.3.7 mit mx-fluxbox 3.0 configs Benutzerpasswort (sudo) für Admin-Aufgaben standardmäßig.
• die MX-Tour zeigt eine Übersicht jeder Desktop-Umgebung.
• Übersetzungsaktualisierungen. MX-Comfort-Standard-Theme, einschließlich dunkler Varianten und 'dicker Rand' Xfwm-Varianten. Mesa Vulkan-Treiber werden standardmäßig installiert.

NEW • Distribution Release: MX Linux 21.1
The MX Linux team have published an update to their 21.x series. The new update, MX Linux 21.1, includes a refreshed Debian base,
a new tool for configuring Samba shares and updated hardware support. The release announcement reports:

Lass es mich so ausdrücken: Ich bin ja ein Freund von Fluxbox, aber eine Distro welche das Dings als fünften Punkt in "whats new" aufführt - ist vielleicht nichts für normale Menschen (aka ein Forum, aka nicht #linux-hardcore)- oder hat nicht wirklich überhaupt ne daseinsberechtigung?
Oder, alternativ und etwas konstruktiver: Ist da für dich irgendwas dabei, was diese Distro besonders macht, und
deshalb nem etablierten (die 5 großen + die paar für hacker, bla) vorzuziehen?
