Passwort reset OHNE das er beauftragt wurde

Moinsen CB'ler,

mein Postfach hatte grad eine Mail von Steam.

Inhalt: Passwort reset

Allerdings habe ich Steam seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr drauf.
Ich kann es also nicht gewesen sein.


Muss man jetzt bedenken haben, dass sich schon jemand mein Account unter den Nagel gerissen hat?

Ist da irgendwas von bekannt, dass das in letzter zeit öfter vorkam?

Also wie du siehst, es handelt sich durchaus um eine offiziele E-Mail.
Dass etwas passiert ist, kann man so noch nicht sagen. Die E-Mail sagt nur, jemand hat die Passwort-Vergessen-Funktion mit deinem Account oder deiner E-Mail-Adresse aufgerufen - kann auch ein Versehen gewesen sein, wenn du einen "allerwelts-Accountname" hast...

Ich würde mich nur mal kurz vergewissern, ob dein PW noch das alte ist. Dazu brauchst du nicht mal Steam installiert haben, es reicht auf die Seite www.steampowered.com zu gehen, dort kann man sich auch mit dem Account einloggen.

Spontan fällt es mir nicht ein.

Allerdings habe ich definitiv keinen "allerwelts-Accountname".
Groß und Kleinschreibung mit Zahlen... die Chance den durch Zufall raus zu bekommen... halte ich für eher gering^^

Diese "Passwort Reset Mail" habe ich auch öfters bekommen, ich bin mir ziemlcih sicher, dass jemand versucht hat mein Passwort zu resetten. Dann hab halt ich jedes mal wenn dieser Spassvogel das versucht hat eine Mail bekommen.

Naja wenn irgendjemand deinen Account-Namen oder die E-Mail-Adresse kennt, unter der du dich registriert hast, was kann die Online-Plattform dafür?

Denkst du ich könnte bei ComputerBase nicht die Passwort-Vergessen-Funktion nutzen und mich als China ausgeben?

Aber hey, weil's Steam ist, ist die Plattform schuld...

Und bei mir ist es auch ein mal passiert, dass jemand die Funktion genutzt hat.. na und? Und selbst wenn der Account gestohlen würde - na und?
