Im reading/writing EC at 179,180 for the Acer 5755G now. Problem is that the fan does not spin at a steady value but speeds up and down every half a second or so. Still working on that config... It is definitely possible to control the fan (see link above) but might not be possible with NBFC yet.

According to your 2nd and 3rd link, there are only two modes: "Normal" and "Maximum".

According to you first link, register 180 (dec) seems to be the GPU temperature. This would explain why your fan spins up and down. Everytime you overwrite the value, the fan spins down. Everytime the register is updated with the actual GPU temperature, the fan spins up.

Could I mess up my BIOS, cooling or something with this software even after uninstalling it? I've got no idea what the digits or parameters are... Where should I start searching so I could make a config by myself? I can control cooling fan (atleast I think) with Asus N550JV config on Asus X550JK, not perfectly though.

It is unlikely that you mess up anything. You can always reset the EC by pulling the battery, or pressing the power button for some seconds (have a look at your notebooks user manual).

If you think you can control the fan, download rweverything, find the address of the register which lets you control the fan and enter it in your NBFC config.

Hallo,

ich freue mich immer wieder das es Menschen gibt die das Können und den Willen haben derartige Software zu programmieren und dann auch noch kostenlos anbieten!

Ich haber gerade versucht NBFC mit einem Asus Zenbook UX303LN zu verwenden, leider ohne Erfolg.

Ein Profil für den Vorgänger UX32LN habe ich gefunden, es scheint aber nicht zu funktionieren.

Wäre es möglich für das UX303LN eine Config zu erstellen?

Hi! After using rweverything I've found out when value on 164 changes so does 165 right after it. When those values change CPU fan speed changes too. The thing is I can't control CPU fan yet. When CPU fan stops values from 147 and 148 change to 00. CPU temps are on 160 and 166. I have no idea how I should proceed... Yeah, I'm newbie.

Actuallly values on 151 and 152 control CPU fan directly. I can keep 151 value as 00 and rise 152 to 08 and vica versa or 151 -> 06 and 152 -> 02. I've no idea what's the difference.

Vielen Dank erst einmal für die von Dir investierte Zeit und Energie in dieses hilfreiche Programm.

Ich hätte allerdings noch einen kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag:

Bei manchen Notebooks werden unterschiedliche Skalen für die Read/Write-Register benutzt (z.B. beim Sony Vaio Fit Multi-Flip SVF14N1C5E). Dadurch stimmen entweder die angezeigten Prozente für die Geschwindigkeit nicht, oder die Werte lassen sich nicht einstellen.

Könntest Du daher einbauen, dass man getrennt für die beiden Register jeweils die Min/Max-Werte eingeben kann?

Das war eigentlich schon fürs aktuelle Release geplant, habs aber nicht rechtzeitig fertig bekommen.
Sobald das Feature ausgereift genug ist kannst du ne Testversion haben wenn du willst. Ich schreib dir dann bei Zeiten ne PM

I have to tweak it a bit because sometimes in low temperature it won't start the fan. It starts ja stops continuously until temperature rises to 50 degrees.

Config works apart from notebooks occasional effort to start the fan when it's off and temps are high. If someone finds better solution let me know, please.

ich möchte gerne die Lüfter meines Yoga 3 14 mit Nividia 940m steuern bzw. im Idle betrieb ausmachen.
Habe einige Profile probiert leider ohne erfolg.

Laut einigen Posts gibt es eine Beta mit der man eventuell was machen kann?
Könnte man auch die GPU oder nur die CPU steuern??

Würde mich über ne Antwort freuen!

Habe das neue NBFC von git geladen und für Linux kompiliert. Läuft alles gut, nur sagt mir

mono nbfc/Linux/bin/ReleaseLinux/nbfc.exe --version

, dass es sich Version 1.2.2.0 handle.

Hat hier jemand ein Acer VN7 591G, wahrscheinlich besser bekannt als V15 Nitro? Das Teil hat zwei Lüfter. Die Config vom S7 hat leider nicht funktioniert.
Kann mir jemand helfen?

1.3.4 ist die aktuellste Version. Es gibt momentan keine Beta die aktueller ist.

Das ist die Version des CLI.
Die einzelnen Komponenten von NBFC haben unterschiedliche Versionen.

Ich habe eben für das Acer VN7 591G (i7, 860M, 8GB, SSD+HDD) eine Config erstellt.
Anhang anzeigen Aspire VN7 591 V15 Nitro.7z

Damit kann man beide Lüfter (links und rechts) regeln. Ich habe beide gleichmäßig eingestellt.
