I've posted this before on the CM G+ account, but I'm reposting here in the event that you people who keep complaining that Samsung is first in line or insinuating that since Cyanogen works there we somehow have a deep seated bias towards them.
tl;dr you are wrong
Aliens!
Easiest devices to work on: Samsung, Sony, LG
Most devices supported by CM?: Samsung, Sony, LG
Devices with $#!@ bootloader policies: HTC, Motorola
Devices with less CM support: HTC, Motorola
OEMs with poor track record for timely source releases: HTC, Motorola
Samsung sent us SGS2's. LG has sent a dozen devices. Sony sent us their entire 2011 lineup. HTC and Moto? Nada.
CM devs are consumers too. We work on devices that interest us, and we do research on them prior to purchasing, just like any sensible person would. In that research, logically, we veer away from devices we know (or reasonably expect) to be locked down or otherwise a pain. Not to mention we support 4 Asus tablets, have prepped the Acer Iconia series as well.
