Brauch ich die bezahl Version von 3DMark? Oder funktioniert der DLC auch mit der Gratis Version?

Die Technik ist nicht rein für den Ladebildschirm gedacht, der kommt sowieso weil die CPU die Spielwelt erschaffen muss. DirectStorage ist für neue gigantische Spielewelten gedacht wo das herkömmliche Texturestreaming an seine Grenzen kommen würde aber beim PC ist da noch viel Luft nach oben.

Ja da hast du zwar Recht aber deswegen kann man es doch trotzdem gerade dann gut einsetzen, wenn es nicht ums streaming während des Spielens geht, sondern z.B. um Ladesequenzen. Und es allgemein für Konsolen abzustempeln, obwohl es auch auf dem PC Möglichkeiten bietet die anders gar nicht erreichbar oder umsetzbar sind, ist halt trotzdem schwer nachvollziehbar. Es gibt ja auch keinen Einsatzzwang, sondern ist einfach ein weiteres Feature. Ich bin jedenfalls froh, dass es auch unter Windows gekommen ist und bin sicher, dass es auch auf den PC sinnvoll eingesetzt werden kann.

Es ist schlecht weil die GPU mit ihrer Rechenleistung Bilder malen soll und nicht Files entpacken.

Wirklich "belasten" tut es die GPU nicht. Dazu hat es den Vorteil, dass es in den meisten "Szenarien" sogar effizienter ist, weil unnötige Kopieraktionen vermieden werden.

UL Solutions hat den Storage Benchmark DLC für den 3DMark um einen neuen Feature Test erweitert, der die Leistung des Systems hinsichtlich der Nutzung der API DirectStorage prüft. Anders als im Avocados-Benchmark wird die Leistung auch ins Verhältnis gesetzt. Die Community kann mithelfen eine Benchmark-Rangliste zu erstellen.

Intressant ich hab 2xKC3000 und eine 980 pro bei der 980pro geht der Test problemlos aber bei beiden KC3000 ergibt der Test kein gültiges Resultat weil irgendwas mit den Zeiteinheiten nicht stimmt

Bin bei den Steam Reviews auf einen interessates Review gestoßen, der Test ist anscheinend recht umfangreich gestaltet:

As the title says. This is a "Storage Gaming Benchmark".
If people complaining here took enough time to actually analyzed what the actual benchmark is doing, they will quickly find out that the benchmark is actually "recreating" a virtualized windows environment, complete with windows files, realtek drivers, antivirus, origin, steam and actual game files.

If you care to examine the folder Storage_Benchmark_2023-7-5-20-45-1-45 that is written into the destination drive once the test starts, you will see a lot of Windows Files, Antivirus files, Program Files, Origin, Steam & Epic Games local files as well as the actual game files, even FRAPS DLLs can be found there.
What the actual test is doing is measure how will the PC behave when loading those files "as if it where inside those games, with all those apps".
I'm suspecting they recreated a virtualized enviroment inside that test folder, which weights in about 5GB to do this.
Honestly, this is brilliant as no other "synthetic test" is doing this. If you want to really know how much time it will take to load an actual game, this Storage Benchmark is about the only thing we have right now that can aproximate that. Doing it by hand is tedious as hell (believe me I did).
For me, this is a 10/10, I didn't expected less from 3DMark guys.
Very good job and a solid buy for people who is really interested in testing and getting "the real numbers".
I've also read about AMD issues with the RAID0 on their platforms on the forums and the replies from 3DMark team and I have to say they are absolutely on spot. RND4K performance on AMD is disastrous. I've managed to get a much better performance by using SoftRAID ( a handy software) on AMD and bypassing the native solution altogether. Any attempts at trying to fix the issue has been faced with walls on my end. AMD RAID0 is broken.
I've purchased this to test Intel VMD and I'm very satisfied. Sad to read all the bad reviews, as truly speaking, it is just ignorant people who don't know what this is actually doing.
