Hiermit schlage ich Windows Firewall Control von Malwarebytes (übernommen von Binisoft) als Download vor.

Bei Windows Firewall Control (WFC) handelt es sich um keine eigenständige Firewall wie diese etwa in diversen Security Suites enthalten ist. Windows Firewall Control, der Name lässt es grundsätzlich erahnen, ist ein Frontend für die in Windows integrierte Firewall (auch Defender Firewall genannt). WFC ist Freeware.

Was WFC bietet:

• Regeln komfortabel über die integrierte Regelverwaltung verwalten (hinzufügen, ändern, löschen)
• über ein Benachrichtigungsfenster Anwendungen zu erlauben/blockieren (auch zeitbasiert, bspw. temporär für 10 Minuten erlauben/blockieren)
• übersichtliches Verbindungsprotokoll
• mehrsprachige Benutzeroberfläche

Noch ein kleiner Nachtrag...

Wenn man die Diagnosedaten-/übermittlung verhindern möchte, dann muss im Installationsverzeichnis lediglich die drei DLL-Bibliotheken löschen/umbenennen.

Ich frage mich, warum überhaupt solche Diagnosedateien erhoben werden... macht die ganze Sache nicht vertrauenswürdiger... leider

@LaserDiscDude Telemetrie sammelt heutzutage ja irgendwie jeder. Zur Verbesserung der Produkte.
Ob und inwieweit das anonymisiert stattfindet, k.A.

Die drei genannten DLLs sind für den Betrieb von WFC jedenfalls nicht erforderlich.
Die Newtonsoft.Json-Bibliothek wird ja querbeet in diversen Programmen, auch in OpenSource-Projekten von Github, verwendet.

@Zer0DEV: hatte die Software einige Zeit bei einem meiner Systeme laufen, der Mehrwert hielt sich bei mir persönlich in Grenzen. Als Privatanwender setzt man sich tendenziell eher wenig damit auseinander und im dienstlichen Bereich macht man die Einstellungen meist einmal und dann bleiben sie überwiegend unverändert.

Hatte gehofft, dass vielleicht noch ein, zwei weitere Erfahrungen dazukommen. Ich denke aber, es wird eine sehr kleine Nische bleiben.

Wie erreiche ich das? Vielleicht bin ich dafür zu blöd, aber Windows meckert wegen fehlender Zugriffsrechte?!

Sicherheit geht ja vor, aber das ist schon echt Gängelung was Windows da betreibt. Ich bin der "Administrator" der Kiste, also muss es mir doch möglich sein "meine" Dateien zu löschen/umbenennen.

• New: Added support for negative search in Rules Panel and Connections Log. Use "!" in front of a search term to exclude it.

Wie erreiche ich das? Vielleicht bin ich dafür zu blöd, aber Windows meckert wegen fehlender Zugriffsrechte?!

Ich zitiere mich mal selbst. Irgendetwas war wohl an meinem System faul. Habe es gerade ohne Probleme geschafft die 3 genannten Dateien umzubenennen. Keine Ahnung wo jetzt das Problem war, aber es hat geklappt.

@cartridge_case Zu viele Fehler mit v6.9.4.0 fabriziert... Sh*t happens.
Das Wilders Security Forum, die "Support-Anlaufstelle" für WFC, gibt da ein wenig Einblick.

Bei mir hat sich bspw. unter v6.9.6.0 der Windows-Dienst ohne Vorwarnung und Fehlermeldung beendet. War aber nur ein einziges Mal vor dem Update v6.9.7.0.

What's new in version 6.9.8.0 (14.11.2023)

• Improved: Retrieving the group display names uses now shlwapi.dll. This fixes group names with dll names and resource ids.
• Improved: Default option is now the third one in the uninstall dialog. This will leave the firewall rules untouched during uninstall.
• Improved: The speed of importing a *.wpw file was improved by updating the internal cache mechanism.
• Improved: The speed of deleting multiple rules at once was improved.
• Fixed: Can't load language files which have a language code that is not 2 letters.

What's new in version 6.9.9.0 (20.11.2023)

• Improved: When exporting rules, the sorting order and filters are now preserved in the exported wpw file. On import you get back what was seen in Rules Panel at export time.
• Improved: The import and the export of the firewall rules are fully async now. This improves the UI responsiveness during these actions.
• Fixed: When duplicating multiple rules at once, they are created in the reversed order.
• Fixed: Authorized groups list has a display issue where it displays also the internal group names.
