Ich bin gerade
unschlüssig bei mir.
Habe vor knapp einem Jahr (
28.03.24) zwei Seagate IronWolf Pro 14 TB gekauft (bei CSV Direct).
Da die beiden Platten in einem Externen Gehäuse hinter einem Hardware-Raid-Controller sitzen, musste ich mit entsprechenden Kommandozeilenbefehlen die Smartmontools erst dazu überreden "direkt" Kontakt zu suchen.
Habe nun die SMART und FARM-Werte checken lassen:
Dort tauchen generell so um die 76 Stunden Betriebsdauer auf, das kommt hin (ist nur ein Archiv-Speicher).
In den FARM-Logs taucht dann aber dies hier auf:

Da stehen die Write-Power-On-Hours-By-Head jeweils jenseits der 5- oder gar 6000. Selbst wenn die Angabe in Minuten wäre, käme das nicht hin.
Allerdings ist es fraglich, wie korrekt die Werte hinter dem RAID trotzdem sind bzw. wie genau Smartmontools da ausließt.
Weiterhin habe ich die Seriennummer (damals schon direkt nach Kauf) bei Seagate prüfen lassen - und auch jetzt noch mal. Da steht für beide Platten das die Garantie (korrketerweise) bis
14. März 2028 geht.
Also ich würde behaupten es ist alles in Ordnung, aber ein Beigeschmack bleibt...
