Ok I am going to translate this to the normal user: C.R.A.P!!!! (with a font of 120+)
What they are saying there DOESN'T JUSTIFY WHY SLI DOESN'T WORK!!! NOT EVEN 0.000001% ! Cool! So they just changed the lighting system to "cluster" mode which is the equivalent of "Tile-based" USED IN FROSTBYTE ENGINES FOR YEARS!!!! and guess what.. all frostbyte 3 based games have PERFECT SLI SUPPORT and scaling!
So, what they are saying there is just "BULLSHIET"!
Their so-called invented technique is also CRAP... it was done before and discarded for various reasons (I need to find that article again as proof)...
Don't get me wrong,
I GIVE EXACTLY NADA about this game! I couldn't care less about it! BUUUUUT....to come with that crappy justification?!?!?! Basically they are saying FUCK YOU PC GAMERS WHO OWN SLI...cause we "invented our crappy method" and "oh' our old engine didn't support transparency the way we wanted!!!"
So in the end we got this crap (WITH TRANSPARENCY SUPPORT...YEY) that RUNS LIKE CRAP and NO SLI support! Nice
trade-off
(This reminds me why I DIDN'T want to go in the gaming industry...damn liars ^_^).
The truth is: They WANT MONEY...THEY HAD A BUDGET! And decided is better spent on something else than SLI or making the game RUN PROPERLY
After all SCREENSHOTS don't tell if you have freezes or performance problems
)
Another "esteemed" developer crossed of my list!
(At least indie developers aren't telling lies...)
Again for the "average Joe":
At the end of the day I don't give a F if it uses method A or method B. I want my game to work PROPER on my setup...So that "justification" is worthless in any case (unless they want to present it in an academic environment where it makes more sense...)
Honestly I wouldn't have cared about "less or no" transparency in the game if it would run PROPERLY and with SLI support
(Aka using the same engine as Mad Max which was gorgeous by the way).
