News Betrug mit Seagate-Festplatten: Händler verkaufen gebrauchte HDDs als Neuware

Contor schrieb:

https://investors.seagate.com/news/...d-Hard-Drive-Circularity-Program/default.aspx
“eBay is proud to work with Seagate on this exciting partnership,” said Renée Morin, eBay’s Chief Sustainability Officer. “Refurbishing items gives them a longer life and generally reduces greenhouse gas emissions. In our efforts to be a responsible, sustainable marketplace, this collaboration shows that we all have a part to play.”

Habe letztes Jahr insgesamt 10x 16TB (angeblich "factory recertified) gekauft.

@5hred Is Ironie oder?

Index Estimated Time Temperature Celsius
18 2025-01-24 16:35 ? -
... ..(108 skipped). .. -
127 2025-01-29 03:46 ? -
0 2025-01-29 04:45 29 **********
1 2025-01-29 05:44 ? -
2 2025-01-29 06:43 23 ****
3 2025-01-29 07:42 ? -
4 2025-01-29 08:41 26 *******

wo kommen die werte davor her? 108 skipped? 24.01 2025 ?

Also irgend was scheint da echt nicht zu stimmen.

Was sagt CDI an Betriebsstunden ?

CDI gibt die 15h an die smartmon in der spindel on time angibt, was ja auch passt (also seit meinem einbau heute)

Ja also, dann hast du die Antwort ja.

Maximum storage periods are 180 days within original unopened Seagate shipping package or 60 days unpackaged within the defined non-operating limits (refer to environmental section in this manual). Storage can be extended to 1 year packaged or unpackaged under optimal environmental conditions (25°C, <40% relative humidity noncondensing, and non-corrosive environment).
