Trotz deaktivierten Funktionsupgrades und dem Semi Annual Channel für verspätete Upgrades, begrüßt mich Windows stumpf mit dem "Hallo, Fast geschafft!" Bildschirm und 1809....

Also ich bekommen es auf meinem 6 Jahre alten Samsung Laptop auch nicht. Wo finde ich denn den Current Status?

Oder kann ich mich darauf einrichten, daß ich ab jetzt von den Updates verschont bleibe?

After updating to Windows 10, version 1809, audio playback from a monitor or television connected to a PC via HDMI, USB-C, or a DisplayPort may not function correctly on devices with these drivers. Workaround: To see if your device is affected and, if so, resolve the issue, see this Windows Forum post. Next Steps: Microsoft is working with Intel to expire these display drivers, including coordinating with OEMs, and will provide an update on the resolution in an upcoming release. Note: This Intel display driver issue is different from the Intel Smart Sound Technology driver (version 09.21.00.3755) audio issue previously documented.

Workaround: To mitigate this issue, you can manually configure your systems to force all traffic through the VPN tunnel. For details on how to do this, see the F5 customer support guidance page. Next Steps: Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.

To ensure a seamless update experience, we are blocking devices running the affected business endpoint security products from being offered Windows 10, version 1809, until a specific Trend Micro Critical Patch (CP) is applied. Next Steps: For information on when critical patches will be available for these products, please refer to Trend Micro’s Business Support Portal.

After updating to Window 10, version 1809, Microsoft Edge tabs may stop working when a device is configured with AMD Radeon HD2000 or HD4000 series video cards. Customers may get the following error code: "INVALID_POINTER_READ_c0000005_atidxx64.dll". Some users may also experience performance issues with the lock screen or the ShellExperienceHost. (The lock screen hosts widgets, and the ShellExperienceHost is responsible for assorted shell functionality). Workaround: To ensure a seamless update experience, we are blocking devices with AMD Radeon HD2000 and HD4000 series graphics processors from being offered Window 10, version 1809. Next Steps: Microsoft is investigating this issue.

Note on upgrade blocks: Blocking the availability of a Windows 10 feature update to devices we know will experience issues is a key aspect of our controlled rollout approach to provide users with a great update experience. We decide what to block based on user impact from closely monitoring feedback and device diagnostics. Blocking issues are a high priority for us to address as quickly as possible. If we detect that your device may have an issue, such as an application incompatibility, we will not install the update until that issue is resolved, even if you “Check for updates”. Ich hab es jetzt manuell angestoßen. Der AMD E-450 hat hoffentlich keine Probleme mit der Version

Merkwürdig, mein Samsung E452 hat eine Radeon HD 5470 drin, also keine aus der oben genannten Serie.
Und die letzten WIN 10 Updates haben sich an meinem Avira Antivirus auch nicht gestört.

Nein, ich bin nicht scharf auf das Update, ich wollte nur wissen, ob das jetzt an mir vorbeigegangen ist und ich jetzt von dem Quatsch erlöst bin.

Halt solange wie Microsoft das Funktionsupdate nicht freigibt - morgen ist wieder Patchday.

Artikel-Update: Ab sofort rollt Microsoft das Oktober 2018 Update auch ohne manuelle Suche über Windows Update aus. Der Download und die Installation werden also automatisch angestoßen. Wie gehabt geschieht das in der Regel zuerst auf Systemen, die Microsoft bekannt sind und über eine aktuellere Version von Windows 10 verfügen. Über den Anstoß einer manuellen Suche nach Updates erhalten die Aktualisierung hingegen auch weiterhin alle Anwender von Windows 10 mit älterer Version.
