Argh, kann man da nichts machen? Er sagt ja zumindest nicht, dass due WU kaputt wäre...
 
Das sagt nur, das er zum Serer keine verbindung auf bauen kann. Hatte ich auch schon zwei oder Drei mal. Beim letzten mal hatte mich das 80.000 Punkte gekostet. :grr: Wie ich sehe hast du die RX 480 wieder raus genommen, hatte es sich nicht gelohnt oder warum musste sie weichen?
 
hm, immer mal wieder diverse Fehler wie

oder

betrifft sowohl GPU als auch CPU
für heute anscheinend nur 465.xxx Punkte gemacht
bin raus
wird mir zu doof
und da die Rechenzentren jetzt ja eh mit machen ist es wurscht

Ich habe sie gegen die Vega 64 ersetzt. Hatte erst überlegt, beide zusammen im Rechner zu lassen (dann würde mein Rechner mit den beiden Monitoren wohl unter Volllast so knapp 700W aufnehmen :D

Leider habe ich festgestellt, dass ich dazu keinen Platz habe 🤪 Den obersten PCIe x16 Slot kann ich nämlich nicht nutzen, weil der CPU Kühler im Weg ist. (falsches Mounting Kit für den Mugen 4) Dann noch eine PCIe x1 WLAN-Karte und der Bigtower ist voll WTF

Könnte an der Größe liegen. >140 MB sind ja keine Kleinigkeit.

Ich habe nochmal die Logs durchwühlt, scheinbar hatte die WU einen Fehler:

Sieht mir eher danach aus, dass es aufgrund von Übertaktung zu einem Rechenfehler kam. Geh mal 10 - 20 MHz runter.
 
@Caradhras Hast du deine Vega Untervoltet, wenn ja, geh mit der Spannung etwas höher. Oder wie @JayTea schon schrieb, mit dem Takt noch etwas runter. F@H reagiert da sehr extrem, das kann bei Spielen alles stabil sein, nur hier nicht. :schluck:

Ich habe gerade eine neue WU mit der Vega gerechnet - keine Probleme. Seitdem ich die Vega habe, habe ich noch gar nichts daran verstellt (gebraucht gekauft). Welches Tool empfehlt ihr?

Nimm einfach das AMD Overdrive, das du ja sowieso schon drauf haben solltest und stell einfach das Powerlimmit auf 55 oder 60 %. Das sollte schon reichen. Keine Sorge, du verlierst weniger Leistung, als du an Strom sparst. :schluck:

Du kannst das dann auch als Profil speichern, so das du nicht immer alles verstellen musst.

@Caradhras und @peterX Kann ich nur bestätigen mit dem Takt bei der Vega. In Spielen 1560 stabil, für Folding auf 1480. Bin allerdings auch auf 950 mV weit runter für Stromverbrauch, auf 1000 mV lief die vielleicht auch auf 1360 dauerhaft stabil.

Ich hab jetzt nur nen kurzen Test gemacht, aber fast 20% mehr Verbrauch bei unter 5% Mehrleistung rechnen sich nicht.

Ich nutze übrigend nur noch das OverDriveNTool, da kann man wenigstens die Lüfter vernünftig einstellen (jedenfalls bei mir). Das scheitert bei der Radeon-Software grandios, Lüfter sind nicht unter 42% einstellbar. Und man hat alles direkt übersichtlich auf einer Seite, kann die Werte (außer Lüfterkurve) auch in die Registry schreiben lassen. Powertarget +-50& lässt sich damit auch aushebeln ;)

@fanatiXalpha So extrem hab ich das noch nie gehabt :(
 
Meine Karte läuft seid dem ich sie eingebaut habe untervoltet, bei 2Ghz und 0,930 Volt und ich spare dadurch schon 30Watt. Für F@H hab ich im Afterburner mir noch ein Profil mit 1760Mhz bei 0,800 Volt angelegt. Ich verliere zwar ca. 10% an Leistung, hab aber nur noch 100Watt verbrauch statt 130Watt. Würde ich einfach nur das Powerlimmit auf 50% setzen, hätte ich 110Watt verbrauch aber durch das ständige hin und her Takten der Karte, deutlich schlechtere Werte.

@sthyen Du schwächelst etwas, ich bin dir schon wieder dicht auf den Fersen. :D
 
Ich finde es interessant, wie wenig die RTX 2080 Ti mit höherer Leistungsaufnahme beim Folden skaliert. Der Sweet Spot bei meiner Karte ist bei 50% Power Limit. Darunter zu gehen führt zu stark fallender Leistung, da ich bei MSI Afterburner die Spannung nicht weiter reduzieren kann. Darüber hinauszugehen führt aber auch nur zu unzureichender Mehrleistung.

Bei 50% Power Limit und automatischem Undervolting kriege ich 79% Leistung verglichen mit 100% Power Limit. Mit einer Balkonsolaranlage läuft der Rechner tagsüber dann ohne Netzbezug.

Ich versuchte auch, über die vom Afterburner hinausgehende Spannungskurve zu undervolten, was aber binnen Minuten zu einem Abbruch der Work Unit führte.

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
Du darfst da nicht einfach nur die Spannung runter ziehen, das wird nix. Stell die lüfter auf max und lote mit dem Curfe Editor das max OC aus, in dem du den OC scanner rechts oben anklickst und dann ziehst du die punkte, über deiner wunschspannung oder Takt etwas nach unten, so das sie unter dem Takt oder Spannung sind, die du haben möchtest. Bei mir sieht das dann so aus. Dieses Profil dann einfach auf einen der Speicherplätze abspeichern und fertig. :schluck:
