https://www.moddb.com/mods/lost-alpha wurde ein neuer changelog verlinkt, der auf vk.com zuerst veröffentlicht worden war - die Übersetzung des Users Lambda ins Englische lautet wie folgt:
“Disclaimer: Concept
At first it should be noted that LA and LADC are two different mods with different ideas. LADC was never a mod recreating builds and “that stalker”. The goal of LADC is to combine the gameplay of LA with the gameplay of COP and CS, introduce new elements into the gameplay and graphics – never watching back at builds, doing it in our own way. Director's cut means “developer’s edition", "developer’s vision" etc. We are trying to make the atmosphere itself closer to the released version with our own ideas added in.
Disclaimer: Graphics
While developing the mod we are taking into account only r3/4, meaning dx10/11. On the other renders there may be bugs, like black fences, white impenetrable rain and so on. Renders lower than third are really just an unnecessary load for us, or just a possibility for low-end PC users to play. But don’t expect stability and normal graphics on any render lower than r3; we will not look into bug reports related to graphics issues on those renders.
Still we don’t recommend using "advanced settings". Please use ready presets made by us. Change "advanced settings" at your own risk and solve the consequences yourself.
1.4007 will be in form of full install, previous versions not needed. Old saves will obviously not work, new game only.
A few words on the new version, but the information is not full. We were carried away by the development and forgot about the proper changelog.
1. Gameplay DLC is now fully included into the mod. This means huge amount of changes, like new slots (helmets, second slot for a big weapon), hundreds of engine tweaks and much more developed vehicle physics. Full log of Gameplay DLC is not included.
Build like HUD style was completely cut.
2. Graphics/textures: a lot of (300+) old textures were redrawn from scratch; another 400 were just replaced with existing analogs or copies. Mod became lighter, decreasing the amount of textures increased the optimization.
Plus new optional effects like water drops on HUD by Meltak or reflections in the water from OGSE. And our own changes, main part of the job was made by Zhora Tsementov.
3. Changes in plot/cutscenes/endings: around 30% of cutscenes was cut, some were just improved, all of the endings were redone, except the regular ending with Ghost (of course, there is no rainbow anymore). Pacing was optimized, lots of main quests were remade into side quests (meaning their completion is now optional), so the main quest could be beaten much quicker. Countless amounts of errors in dialogs and quests were fixed.
Everything related to illuminati and mysterious man was cut. Now they are not present in the story at all.
Old secret endings were cut and new were made. But the conditions to get a secret ending were also extended. Instead of 8 there are now 15. This includes exploration of the open world (both during quests and in places unrelated to quests) and correct completion of (certain, related to documents and mysteries of the Zone) side quests. After getting any of the conditions an article will be loaded to your PDA, in the name of an article there will be a number of the condition as a little help for players. Achieving this ending is a good challenge for every LADC fan, who had completed the game multiple times and is willing to try something new.
4. Much more optional mods included: big choice of mods, some of them are very big, weather mod for example, which adds 6 new cycles to the existing 9. This diversity of mods is new for LA. All of our old mods, which were ported to 1.4007, are also included. Mods like Russian dubbing, autumn pack and weapon pack.
5. Models and tessellation: more diversity of NPC visuals thanks to things like combinations of gasmasks and so on. Models themselves were taken from COP, along with tessellation.
6. New area, based on "level 12" from builds of 2001-2002. Nice population and stashes, but no quests. Nothing special, we added it only because we like the process of building a level.
7. Free A-life is available as an optional mod. Although it is a mod, turning it on is
essential for everyone. It really improves the gameplay. It is not really super A-Life, but many times better than non-existent one. Algorithm is simple: random stalkers and mutants are not deleted anymore and in result free NPCs can be met in the Zone, driven by their own, engine based logic. Initially there were some concerns that the mod can break quests, but all of the "dangerous" places were modified. Now story and A-Life support each other, not the other way around.
8. Optimization, very noticeable on certain systems. All due to static light being replaced with dynamic one, decreased amount of textures and the ability to further lower the radius of geometry detalization.
9. Sound zones, which are almost everywhere. New types of zones were created, city type for example. They give echo and other nice things, improving the immersion.
10. Improved gradation of tiers, there are 4 of them. Now as you go further into the Zone, enemies and mutants become harder. Gradation of anomalies is not present and will not be.
11. Launcher with huge amount of functions. For example, the ability to download and update the game and mods, game settings and save manager.
12. Changes in gameplay: the initial set of items was changed (now anomaly detector or knife should be bought), new type of ammo was added – little shot rounds, lots of quest awards were modified.
Burnt Fuzz will not give 3000% bleeding with contact, its algorithm was also changed (if you go through it slowly, there will be no damage).
Many item and armor tweaks to make the game more balanced.
Higher difficulty levels are now much harder, but the lower ones are much easier. "Stalker" level can be compared with Veteran and Master difficulties in the original game.
There are now more possibilities to get skill points.
Forest level was recompiled; now NPC’s do not disappear through the openings on the location.
13. Little tweaks, like new quest icons, improved and louder ambient, improved sounds of some mutants (chimera, tushkano and others). “
