Thank you very much for signing up for our 12VHPWR Angled Adapter launch list! We are excited to bring this product to the community as soon as possible. As we have come to the middle of December, we wanted to give you an update on where we are with development, and what to expect going forward.
Development on the Angled Adapters has been our number one priority since the announcement, and we have been making good progress. We have already gone through multiple sample rounds and are actively tweaking to make sure they are perfect when they arrive in your hands.
Unfortunately, we have hit several setbacks during development. The biggest issue was the delay of certain components, specifically the male connectors. Two days before they were supposed to ship, we were notified that the shipment would be delayed due to a manufacturing issue. After finally receiving the connectors several weeks later, it appears that certain physical aspects of these components would increase the rate of failure also greatly slow down overall production. This has, unfortunately, set us back quite a bit.
In light of this, we have made the decision to invest even more resources and tool our own connector, rather than use an off-the-shelf part. These new connectors not only help streamline our design, but also improve graphics card compatibility and manufacturing speed. Once samples are in and have passed our internal testing, our plan is to send adapter samples out to various media outlets so they can test them as well and report their findings. We want to only deliver once we are absolutely sure that our design is rock-solid.
Our new projected timeline is as follows:
New connectors samples - End Dec
Connectors approved and produced - Mid Jan
Media receives samples - End Jan
Mass production - Mid Feb
Shipping - End Feb
Ich wollte gerade fragen, da meine 4090 ganz neu ist, ob es Neuigkeiten gibt, aber da das hier der neueste Kommentar ist, gibt es wohl keine Info. Ich kann mein Seitenteil ohne Adapter nicht schließen.
